John plays on both tenor banjo and tenor guitar on this new album and is accompanied by Alec Finn, Brian McGrath and Johnny (Ringo) McDonagh.
This long awaited release is John’s second recording on the banjo following his debut album ‘The Cat that Ate the Candle’ in 1994.
Of course John has produced three solo fiddle albums in the meantime and also two recordings with his band At the Racket.
On this new CD Carty returns to his first instrument (Banjo) to display his plectrum prowess with a selection of reels, jigs, hornpipes
and barndances in his own innovative style.
